Concept

We used the identified constraints and opportunities to help inform our design and planning process. It was vital to ensure any features, constraints or opportunities of Town Quay and the surrounding area are properly considered.

In creating a destination there were a number of key concepts that our designs were based around, namely;

1 - To create a welcoming entrance, enhancing the           setting of the listed Harbour House.

2 - To push out the sea wall to create a developable         area to wrap the marina and connect the public to       the waterfront.

3 - Increase the capacity of the existing marina.

4 - Improve the perception of the current Town Quay       properties activating their ground floor levels  

      where possible.

5 - Landmark building to terminate the Town Quay  

      and the QE2 mile.
